There's Green and then there is LEED
A LEED home is exemplary in energy efficiency, water use, air quality, building materials, land placement and use—essentially everything! LEED certification is also rigorously tested and hard to achieve, unlike other green certification programs.
LEED for Homes is a rating system that promotes the design and constructions of high-performance green homes.
Each LEED home is individually tested to minimize envelope leakage, and care is taken from the design and selection of all building materials and finish products and major systems to ensure minimal energy use.
Advanced Framing
We began with a fully insulated foundation and advanced framing which allows for a better insulated product. Using open-cell spray foam. No VOC product sealants to finished paint , and a completely insulated exterior under a virtually no VOC Acrylic-Textured Finish Stucco. These are some of the things that make this home perform with a very high energy efficiency.
Windows (Fenestration) are a big part of energy efficiency. This home features San Francisco's own Bonelli Windows, low e glass and laminated glass on the entire South and Western exposures keep this house cool and quiet.
What's a Sculpture House?
Designed as a work of art, this LEED for Homes Certified 4 bedroom/3.5 bath modern home is truly a tactile and visual experience. A breathtaking sculpted entry wall and door are just the beginning of the artist encounter as you approach the home. Once you enter you will enjoy custom floating stairs, a hand sculpted screen wall as well as San Francisco bay views. All of the surfaces and installations were custom from railings to cabinets, and to the beautifully designed California garden. The dramatic fountain features boulders direct from the site excavation!
